Project Thabiti
Thabiti is a youth-centered initiative that promotes mental wellbeing in the spaces where young people live, learn, and connect. Through universal prevention approaches, the program strengthens resilience and supports social and emotional learning.
Key Components:
- Mental health awareness workshops in schools and community centers
- Resilience-building activities for adolescents
- Training for teachers and community leaders
- Development of culturally appropriate mental health resources
Through Project Thabiti, we've reached over 600 young people across Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, providing them with essential mental health knowledge and coping strategies.

Youth Engage Curriculum
The Youth Engage curriculum is a tailored, comprehensive guide designed to support both facilitators and young people. It uses interactive, participatory activities to engage young people in meaningful conversations about mental wellbeing and everyday life skills.
Key Components:
- Build resilience and self-management for everyday life
- Strengthen communication, teamwork, and problem-solving
- Apply wellbeing skills in ways that support learning and livelihood
The Guide has been implemented in part within a USAID-supported livelihoods program for out-of-school youth, reaching approximately 300 young people.

Youth Support Groups
Support groups are youth-led safe spaces for peer connection, learning, and open conversation around wellbeing.
Key Components:
- Regular sessions led by trained youth leaders
- Peer support and mentoring
- Creative expression and youth-led awareness activities
- Linkages to professional support when needed
We run physical and online support groups for young people aged 18–24 across Tanzania.
